Alex Moody – Owner and General Manager
Former Division I Scholarship recipient, and NESCAC student-athlete graduate, Alex Moody is Director of Lacrosse & Hockey Operations. Alex attended The Governor’s Academy in the ISL. Since his experience as Prep School student-athlete and at Colby College (NESCAC), as both Captain and two-time MVP of his varsity team, Alex has built on his experiences in promoting student-athletes. Alex has taught Calculus in Prep School, run a dormitory in Prep School, coached Varsity athletics in Prep School, worked in the College Advisory Office in Prep School, worked in the Athletic Office in Prep School and has directly coached over 30+ student-athletes who have gone on to play Division I College Athletics with scholarships. The most recent successes you will find having been in the NCAA Division I Lacrosse Championships and the NCAA Division I Hockey Frozen Four. Alex has a passion for developing and promoting student athletes to the next level.
Catherine Batchelder – Girl’s Director & High School Elite Team Coach
Catherine is currently the head lacrosse coach at Newburyport High School. After a successful playing career at Georgetown University, Catherine brings over 15 years of high school varsity head coaching experience to the Bears. At Georgetown, Catherine graduated as the All Time Leading goal scorer and received recognition as a Brine/ IWLCA Region II All American. She began her coaching career at San Francisco University High School where she brought an upstart high school program to the Northern California CIA Girls Lacrosse Finals in just 4 years. After a move back east to be closer to family, Catherine began coaching in her hometown of Newburyport and took over a young Clipper program looking to grow. Since then, She has helped to guide the Clippers to seven consecutive State Tournament appearances and in June 2014, captured the Division II Massachusetts State Championship. Catherine also coaches in the Newburyport Youth Lacrosse program and serves on the Board of Directors. Catherine lives in Newburyport with her husband and three children. Highlights include:

Morgan Maciewicz – High School Elite Team Coach
Morgan Maciewicz is the Head Coach at Endicott College. Morgan inherits a program that has dominated Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play over the last decade, having won nine consecutive CCC titles and having posted a regular season record of 75-6 over that stretch. In 2017, Morgan guided the Gulls to a CCC Tournament Championship and advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament. Morgan has an extensive and impressive coaching resume. Before Endicott, she served as the graduate assistant at Springfield College. Prior to her stint at Springfield, Morgan served as both the assistant women’s lacrosse coach and assistant field hockey coach at Middlebury from 2010 through 2013.
Morgan received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Economics from Bates College in 2010. At Bates, Morgan was was a two-time IWLCA All-Region Second Team performer and currently ranks second all-time in Bates history in career assists with 50.
Managing Director and Coach
Nick Imprescia – Managing Director and Coach
Nick is currently the Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach at Newburyport High School in Newburyport, MA. As a student at Central Catholic, Nick was a three sport athlete playing football, track, and lacrosse. He was named MVC Conference all-star as a senior for lacrosse as a defensive midfielder, as well as for football as a wide receiver. Nick was the Captain of the lacrosse team at Central Catholic in his senior year, where he helped guide Central to the program’s first ever MVC Title.
Nick began his coaching career with the Bears back in 2014 and is currently the club’s Director for the Boy’s Youth and High School programs. Nick was also a four year football player at Endicott College where he earned a the prestigious Spirit of ’88 Award which is awarded to a senior on the team who shows respect towards others and who is willing to put others before himself.
Greg Piatelli – Boy’s High School Elite Team Coach/ College Advisor
Coach Greg Piatelli was a three year Varsity starting attackman on perennial New England champion Berkshire Prep. Some of his accolades include: All-League, All-New England, Prep Senior All-Star, Captain and being recruited by several smaller Division II and III NCAA Colleges and Universities. While thrilled about being heavily recruited, Coach Piatelli set his sights on a larger school with Division I opportunities. Welcomed for early season training camp, Coach Piatelli fought his way onto the Syracuse squad only to be released early on in his freshman campaign.
He went on to play on their club team, winning their league division several years in a row. “Syracuse has been an outstanding experience for me both in the classroom and on the field. I am excited to be a part of this great University and all that it stands for.”
Coach Piatelli has been an instrumental part of the success of the growth of the Middlesex Bears. Being involved with talented student-athletes, who want to experience or have the opportunities that he has had, is what motivates him.
